Our PD program is grounded in our new Climate-Aware Capability Framework and designed to support you in the depth, complexity and care this work calls for. We know this will bring us many opportunities to connect with you throughout the year and to learn and work together as a thriving community.

Introducing the Climate-Aware Capability Framework
Our new Capability Framework for Climate-Aware Practice combines years of clinical practice, lived experience and interdisciplinary, multigenerational knowledge into three domains and eight core capability areas. We’re holding two webinars in March to introduce the Capability Framework.
Climate-Aware Mental Health Foundations for Practice
Online Course and Live Workshop
Our new self-paced, online course is now live! Together with an upcoming workshop, they offer a structured pathway to deepen your skills, confidence and reflective practice. This is an enriching way to explore climate journeys and go deeper into the landscape of climate emotions. Discover opportunities to expand embodied, relational and experiential practices towards a greater capacity to navigate this terrain, both for yourself and others.

Communities of Practice (CoP) Climate-Aware Therapy
6 Online Peer Learning Sessions
Our Communities of Practice are now scheduled from May - Novemeber 2026. These sessions provide a dedicated space to bring up clinical questions, reflect on climate-related work and learn alongside peers in a supported environment. All mental health practitioners are welcome!
Free for CAP members and $50 per session for non-members, early bird package discount.

The Climate-Aware Practice Capability Framework
Free resource for mental health and support professionals, trainers and educators
At the heart of all of this is the Climate-Aware Capability Framework. Developed through years of clinical work, practitioner insight and lived experience, the Capability Framework articulates eight core capabilities to support mental health professionals responding to the psycho-social dimensions of the climate and nature crisis with clarity, integrity and care.
